Poem: Fitna of Dajjal

The Fitna of Dajjal

By: Ameerah J. Ali

In a time of uncertainty,
We know the inevitable, will become a reality.
AllAh (SWT) has told all of humanity,
Alif, Laam, Mim. Da Lee Kal Kitabu La Raybah Fee. (2:1-2)
And still, we have doubt in what we believe.

Dajjal will surely come to deceive,
Breaking up an entire family.
Are you ready to turn the cheek,
And follow the hungry and weak?

Dajjal will claim Divinity,
Winning the hearts of those who lack faith and sincerity.

His chains will be cut for him to run free,
With his powers, he will trek the world in its entirety.

In a time of famine and disparity,
Dajjal will cause it to rain, and people will follow blindly.
The weak in faith will give up everything,
To be a part of this false prophecy.

He will never be given entry,
Into Mecca or Medina, our holiest cities.
When he reaches Medina, in his journey,
The tremors will cause the hypocrites to flee.
A Muslim, strong in his belief,
Will come to call out Dajjal’s dishonesty.
Dajjal will kill and revive. Do you still doubt me?
Yes, now I know you are Dajjal, most Definitely!

Memorize the first 10 Ayah of Surah Al Kahf, for security,
Add the last 10 for immunity.

Seek Allah’s protection from this catastrophe,
May He guide us and keep us on the Siratul Mustakeem!
Say Ameen!

Remember to turn to the Quran-ul Majeed
Because we are guaranteed,
Alif Laam Mim, Da Lee Kal Kitabu La Raybah Fee!!! (2:1-2)

Public Speaking

Do you ever get nervous before giving a speech?  Or doing a presentation?

Allah sent Prophet Moses on a mission to Pharaoh, to convey the message of Islam.  Pharaoh was the worst of mankind, he was a tyrant, a murderer, and merciless. How nervous would you be in front of such a man? Delivering a message that he surely does not want to hear?

Prophet Moses recited the following dua, revealed in the Quran. Prophet Moses was seeking Allah’s help before speaking.

We can recite this same Dua silently before speaking or giving a presentation, by Allah’s will, your task will become easy, and your mind will be at ease (ameen):

“My Lord, expand for me my chest (grant me self confidence, contentment and boldness), ease my task for me, and remove the impediment from my speech so that they may understand what I say” (Qur’an, Surah TaHa (20) Verses 25-28 http://quran.com/20/25-28)

Rest Assured

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.” (Qur’an Surat Ar Ra’d Chapter 13 Verse 28 http://quran.com/13/28)

“Oh Lord, my sins intimidate me with their greatness, but when I compare them to your mercy, your mercy is greater.” — Imam Al Shafi

Surah Yaseen

Who can read the entire Quran 10 times in one sitting?  We can at least get the reward of reading it ten times, and benefit from the forgiveness of God.  Just read Surah Yaseen, chapter 36 of the Quran http://quran.com/36

The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recited Surah Yasin in the night seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah would forgive him’[Ibn Hibban, Darimi 3283/A, Abu Yala, Tabarani, Baihaqi & Ibn Mardawaih]

The Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, ‘Whoever recites Yasin once Allah will record the reward of reciting the Qur’an ten times.’[Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A & Dhahabi]

Protection from Dajjal

Reading Suah Kahf (Quran Chapter 18) (http://quran.com/18) on Fridays is one of the best deeds you can do, it offers protection from Dajjal.  There are many benefits to reciting Surah Kahf on Fridays as mentioned in a previous post.

If you’re seeking an easier way to get protection from Dajjal, you can memorize either the first ten verses or last ten verses of Surah Kahf.

Abu al-Darda (Allah be pleased with him) related that the Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said, Whoever commits ten verses from the beginning Surat al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal. [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, and others; the wording is Muslim’s]

In a narration in Muslim and Abu Dawud it states, From the end of Surat al-Kahf.

Tirmidhi related it with the words, Whoever recites three verses from the beginning of al-Kahf will be protected from the tribulations of the Dajjal. [Mundhiri, al-Targhib wa’l Tarhib, #2172-2173]

Shining Light & Protection from Dajjal

Allah gave us a way to renew bliss in our lives every week, this can help decrease the symptoms of depression among other things, and puts a joy in your life you would otherwise miss.

Reading Suah Kahf (Quran Chapter 18) (http://quran.com/18) on Fridays is one of the best deeds you can do, it not only illuminates your life, but it offers  protection from the comming Dajjal (anti-christ), of which we have no idea when he will make his appearance.

The hadith related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id (Allah be pleased with him), “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays”. [Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al-Habir]

Imam Shafi`i (Allah have mercy on him) said in his Umm,
It has reached us that whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Fridays will be protected from the Dajjal. [Shafi`i, al-Umm, 1.239]

Reciting One Third of the Quran in less than a minute

How many of us would love to get the reward of reciting one third of the Quran?  Recite Surah Ikhlass (http://quran.com/112)

Abu Said has narrated that he heard the Prophet saying:”Isn’t every one of you able to recite one third of the Quran during a night?” They thought it was very difficult, so they asked: “Who is able to do that, O Apostle of God?” He responded: “He is God, the One and Only is one third of the Qur’an.” Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Book 61:Virtues of the Qur’an Book 61, Number 534
